A collaboration between the Firtash Foundation of the Ukraine and Saatchi Gallery, UK/ RAINE presents an overview of emerging artists from both countries, chosen by a panel of eminent international experts. Including some of the most imaginative new talent from the UK and Ukraine's contemporary art scenes. The selected 30 young artists reveal shared concerns and challenges despite the very different socio-political and artistic environments in which they work. UK/RAINE: Emerging Artists from the UK and Ukraine was conceived as an open competition and exhibition to give support to artists aged between 18-35 living and working or born in the UK and Ukraine, at a vital stage in their formative careers. This catalogue accompanies the UK/RAINE exhibition that opened in the Saatchi Gallery in November 2015.
